The first and oldest Punjabi, North Indian restaurant in the UK is Shere Punjab, which is situated in Leicester. Sardar Harbhajan Singh established it in 2008 with the aim of providing his fellow countrymen with a home-cooked Punjabi meal made with fresh ingredients.
